You will admire the interior of the Holy Cross Church (18th century) in Palekh. According to some sources, the iconostasis here was painted by Palekh craftsmen at the beginning of the 19th century. The wooden sculpture "Christ in the Dungeon" - the work of a local craftsman - is a rarity for traditional Orthodox churches. Palekh is a village of artists.

House-Museum of P. Korin. Today the family house of the famous artist is the oldest wooden building in Palekh. All things in the museum are genuine. You will learn how the most famous Palestinian grew up and was brought up.

Dinner. Moving to Shuya.

Shuya's history dates back to 1539. It was Shuya who stood at the origins of the textile industry of the Ivanovo region. In 1755, the first manufactory was opened in the city. In addition to industry, Shuya was known as the fiefdom of the Shuya princes, who could well become a new royal dynasty, but history decreed otherwise. And today's Shuya is a fairly well-preserved old town, where the spirit of an old merchant city is preserved.

Fabrikant M.A. Pavlov knew his business well. His "Paper Spinning, Weaving and Calico Mill" brought in a good income and provided jobs for the townspeople.

And today the enterprise "Shuiskie chintz" works in Shuya. Those who wish can visit the shop "Shuiskie chintz", which is located literally 15 meters from the mansion, where you can buy textiles.
